Natural gas traders are focused on the EIA storage update as November futures hold a firmer near-term tone above a key moving average. Still, strong production, ample inventories and fading Gulf storm risk continue to limit confidence in a sustained bullish turn.

Natural gas is holding above a closely watched moving average as Europe’s winter fuel scramble lifts demand for U.S. LNG. The rally remains constrained by elevated U.S. production, storage uncertainty, and resistance near key technical levels.

Record-setting heat across Texas is keeping natural gas demand elevated, with traders watching whether ERCOT consumption can remain near peak levels. Supply remains the counterweight as active rigs stay near recent highs, storage remains ample, and new Permian pipeline capacity is set to reach Henry Hub.

Natural gas remains under pressure even as hot US weather supports cooling demand and gas fired power burn. A 33 Bcf storage injection, elevated production and incoming Permian supply are keeping buyers cautious.
