Natural gas traders are watching whether intense heat across the southern two thirds of the United States and stronger LNG feedgas demand are tightening storage enough to sustain the latest rally. Production remains elevated, and more Permian supply is set to reach Henry Hub as summer cooling demand begins to fade.

Natural gas futures finished higher as LNG feedgas climbed and heat supported near-term demand. However, elevated inventories, resilient production and incoming Permian supply continue to limit bullish conviction.

Natural gas remains under pressure even as hot US weather supports cooling demand and gas fired power burn. A 33 Bcf storage injection, elevated production and incoming Permian supply are keeping buyers cautious.
