Leadership Shakeup

The Ethereum Foundation is cutting its budget by roughly 40% as it shifts to a leaner endowment-style structure. Vitalik Buterin says the group aims to reduce annual spending from about 15% of treasury assets to around 5% by 2030.

The Ethereum Foundation is eliminating 54 positions, or about 20% of its workforce, after months of restructuring tied to a new mandate and treasury strategy. The move follows senior leadership departures and comes as ETH-backed initiatives push Ethereum development in new directions.
