Hacken says crypto hackers stole $1.18 billion across 107 incidents in the third quarter, a 55% rise from the previous quarter. The security firm warned that audit badges can mislead investors when reviews exclude wallets, signing systems, suppliers and other infrastructure attackers commonly target.

AFX Trade, a decentralized perpetuals exchange on Arbitrum, was drained of about 24.15 million USDC after attacker-controlled validator signatures authorized a bridge withdrawal. Arbitrum’s native bridge was not breached, with security findings pointing to a third-party protocol failure involving off-chain hot-validator keys.
