The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is preparing to vote on a proposal for Regulation Crypto, its first formal rulemaking aimed at creating a more durable framework for certain digital asset offerings. The move comes shortly after the Senate left town without advancing the Clarity Act, keeping regulatory momentum inside the SEC for now.

Indian authorities continue to take a hard line on crypto even as digital assets gain wider global acceptance. The Reserve Bank of India remains concerned about bank exposure, stablecoins, financial contagion and pressure on the country’s external position.

Europe’s Markets in Crypto-Assets framework has positioned the bloc as a global regulatory leader, but the next challenge is execution. Licensing uncertainty, including Binance’s withdrawal of its Greek application, is sharpening debate over whether MiCA can deliver a truly harmonised single market for digital assets.
