Securitize shares dropped sharply after the tokenization firm missed Wall Street expectations in its first quarterly update as a public company. Platform activity remained strong, with record average tokenized assets under management and a jump in transaction volume.

Securitize Capital has registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission as an investment adviser, expanding the tokenization firm’s regulated business stack. The move strengthens Securitize’s position with institutional asset managers as onchain investment products, tokenized vaults and blockchain-based securities infrastructure draw closer regulatory attention.

Securitize plans to use its newly strengthened balance sheet to pursue acquisitions that expand its institutional tokenization services. CEO Carlos Domingo said the company is focused on complementary businesses, not rival platforms, as tokenized equities and ETFs emerge as a major growth target.
