The XRP Ledger’s Batch upgrade has been delayed by at least 10 days after validator support briefly fell below the network’s activation threshold. The feature would allow users to bundle up to eight transactions, while a separate permission delegation upgrade has also been pushed back.

The CFTC has clarified that regulated derivatives firms may invest customer funds in tokenized versions of otherwise permissible assets if the digital form carries equivalent rights. The agency also said blockchain and distributed ledger systems can satisfy official recordkeeping obligations under existing rules.

XRP Ledger order-book trading climbed in the second quarter even as fewer accounts initiated trades, pointing to more concentrated activity on the network. Tokenized assets and RLUSD balances lifted average value held on XRPL to about $4.26 billion, supported by institutional infrastructure growth.

Moody’s Ratings has expanded its blockchain-based ratings system to Solana through a partnership with Alphaledger. The move lets tokenized bond issuers attach Moody’s ratings directly to securities onchain.
