Fairshake’s affiliate Protect Progress spent more than $2 million trying to defeat Democrat Oliver Gilbert in a Florida primary, but Gilbert won the crowded contest. The setback came as Fairshake pointed to a broader string of primary wins across Florida, Alaska and Wyoming.

Senate leadership has opened the first stage of floor action on the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, keeping the crypto market structure bill alive for a possible September vote. The measure still faces unresolved disputes over ethics rules, illicit-finance provisions and stablecoin rewards before it can clear the Senate’s 60-vote hurdle.

Fairshake failed to save pro crypto Representative Shri Thanedar in a Detroit Democratic primary despite spending more than $2 million. The setback was offset by several wins for crypto backed candidates in Michigan and Washington, keeping the industry focused on Capitol Hill policy fights.

Maryland state delegate Adrian Boafo advanced to the general election after receiving more than $5 million in crypto industry support. The spending drew scrutiny from Senator Chris Van Hollen as Fairshake also backed candidates in New York and Utah.

Crypto super PAC Fairshake scored another primary-season victory as U.S. Representative Barry Moore won Alabama’s GOP Senate runoff. The group had spent more than $12 million backing the lawmaker, who has supported crypto legislation.
